Question: What are the lessons people most often learn too late in life?

A:  I’m 78. This answer may surprise most people. After raising my children and watching my grandchildren grow up, I have come to the realization that much of what we punish young children for is simply age appropriate conduct. They are not misbehaving; they are simply being themselves. I should have spent more time enjoying them instead of “raising them” and should not have expected so much of them when they were young. In the end you will realize that what seemed important at the time wasn’t important at all. – Donald R Stein
